YG Entertainment issues official statement regarding Vietnamese media accusations of Seungri inhaling ‘happy balloon’ drug

Another controversial incident revolving Big Bang member Seungri (29) has resurfaced in light of his various illegal activity accusations.

On February 27, media outlets reported that Seungri was spotted at a bar in Hanoi, Vietnam back in February of 2017. After visiting Vietnam for business related matters, Seungri then went out to a bar on his second night in Vietnam with an acquaintance. There, it was reported that he greeted various fans by taking photographs with them, in addition to DJ-ing for them on the spot.

Alongside the above account of Seungri’s visit, one Vietnamese media outlet alleged that Seungri was photographed at this bar back in 2017, inhaling a drug called ‘happy balloon’ through a plastic bag, after being prompted by a female.

In response to this, YG Entertainment stated, “After checking with the individual, we have learned that this photo in question was taken at a questionable angle; furthermore, Seungri himself confirmed that he has never inhaled happy balloon. The content reported by the Vietnamese media outlet is entirely false, and Seungri feels very wronged by this photo, taken without his consent. There is no way that Seungri would inhale a drug at such a public establishment.”
